The last few days...

There has been some swelling in her extremeties, both hands and feet. Mom was in the hospital for 3 days over the last weekend, having some testing and taking a course of diuretics to reduce the pressure in her limbs. We are praying that the swelling continues to go down, though her body isn't responding quickly. Pray with us as the next few days unfold, and we hope to see improvement! She is discouraged, but puts on a good face, being willing to face whatever comes along. How like her to plod ahead.

We love you all,

N

  1. Mom has come upon the largest hurdle ever. She is no longer able to spend much time awake or very cognizant when she is awake. Breathing is a chore and takes a lot of effort. Michele is such a pivotal person right now and we are depending on her and she is shining! Michele is the biggest caregiver and she is bearing a the weight largely. I can't fathom Momma not having her. We are all blessed! Mom is resistant to change and getting a hospital bed, but she understands enough to know it is what needs to happen. We are nearing the final stages and we are all numb, we want Momma to be Momma for just a few more days, even hours would be fine. She had some really good days before this turn, as it usually happens. Thankful for that! We appreciate all your prayers and we will take all that are given, please keep them alive. We want that sweet little body to have no pain and no hunger. I can't thank each one of you enough.
